Foil Drive Prone Surf Foiling - Worthing - Worthing Watersports

Here is a rough edit of me (Sam) shop owner of Worthing Watersports prone foiling with Foil Drive in Worthing, West Sussex.

I cannot express enough how insane this technology and equipment is.

Considering the waves were at most chest-high and barely breaking, I had a huge amount of fun. Sup or surf would not have been possible, but the sensation of foiling on poor-quality waves is just electric. I must have caught at least 30 waves.

Now I have gotten used to, and tweaked my set up. I can honestly say it is a game changer for foiling and my time on the water. I am not wasting energy getting out, I am up high, so i can see the sets coming in.

I can easily get out back and ride them way before they shoulder up. It is just so much fun. My camera wasn’t full charged and the memory card was full, but i managed 1.5 hours (13 miles) before my legs gave up.

I was using the Foil Drive Max Power and Max Sport batteries, with a 25cm cable. My board is a Duotone Crush 40l and a Whizz 1000 on a 75cm SLS carbon Quick Mount mast. 60cm fuse.

As the session progressed (after the camera died, the waves got bigger and I found the 1000 was giving me too much lift. An 850 for my body weight at 69kg is the right size for medium sized waves.

We have stock on the way of the latest FoilDrive, please get in touch if you have any questions about foil drive or prone surf foiling.
