We have shoes and boots suitable for swimming, surfing, kayaking, sailing, kitesurfing,  windsurfing, and foiling.

Shoes are generally used for spring/summer/autumn for more warmth and foot protection.  Boots offer more warmth and are generally used when the water is colder. The thickness of the neoprene affects the warmth but there is also a trade-off between feel and flexibility.  Many surfers, kitesurfers, and windsurfers will use a boot up to 3mm neoprene to give a better feel on the board, while a 5mm or thicker boot will feel warmer.  The quality of the neoprene also makes a difference to the feel, flexibility, and warmth.

Zipped sides make the boots easier to get on but feel less comfortable than a non-zipped boot.  Boots and shoes come in round or split-toe varieties.  The split-toe allows you to spread your toes wider on the board and prevents the boot from twisting when you slide your foot sideways.  Thicker soles again give more protection from stones and our local flints but there is a trade-off with how you feel the board under your foot.
