What size board do I buy when comparing inflatable to a composite wing board?
I believe people recommend going 10l more with an inflatable but personally I don’t think it makes too much difference.
Is an inflatable board the same performance as a composite?
Inflatables do loose a little bit of performance but as far as inflatables go. The fanatic and Duotone are the best with the carbon plate.
You loose a little bit of the bottom end (lighter wind) the boards “stick” to the water a little more than a composite. But they are still good fun. I have done 360’s and wave ridden inflatables. I think unless you are super heavy the different is minimal. They are very practice for packing.
Please note the bags are still big. Due to the carbon plate the nose is just folded over. They are not rolled up tight like a paddleboard.
What’s the difference between the latest Duotone inflatable wing board and the older Fanatic model?
There is currently no difference between the Duotone or fanatic sky wing air premium. The only difference is the graphics.
