We’ve been riding the Crest a lot. Sam (70–72kg) is mainly on the 800, occasionally the 925 in smaller waves, and we’ve seen how the 1050 works brilliantly for riders at a similar weight in lighter winds thanks to its early lift.

Sam’s Real-World Experience (70–72kg Rider)
At 70–72kg, here’s how the sizes feel:
800cm² – The Go-To
This is the sweet spot. Fast, incredibly loose, great glide and still forgiving enough to connect sections. It feels alive under your feet.
925cm² – Smaller Waves / Easier Lift
Perfect when the surf is softer or smaller. More low-end lift, slightly calmer feel, but still plenty of speed.
1050cm² – Early Lift Machine
Friends around the same weight love this in lighter wind. It gets up ridiculously early and still maintains that Crest glide and efficiency.
