"In 2021, Matchu Lopez introduced me to Wesley during my Cabo Verde trip. We shared thrilling foiling sessions, where his natural talent shone through, prompting a bet from me - if he mastered a Backflip, he'd keep my gear. His quick success led Matchu and me to leave him with our combined gear, and I vowed to help secure Duotone's sponsorship for him. The logistical challenges of getting gear to him and launching his international career were daunting, especially contrasted with my experiences in well-supported Tarifa. My advocacy for Wesley with Duotone, fueled by his undeniable potential, has now been validated by his incredible achievements, marking a collective victory for everyone who believed in him."
