The Pace SLS is the board to fulfil your need for speed when freeriding, smashing the latest freestyle tricks or even challenging your friends and race opponents. A superlight prepreg carbon board, especially designed to be fast and in control, on the racecourse and in the air.
The Pace SLS is a completely new rigid carbon prepreg construction, a guarantee to achieve a very light, still durable board for such a dedicated carbon construction. The overall design of the board is not only shaped to be fast, but to have the most fun in all sorts of conditions and disciplines, therefore the lightweight construction is offering great feedback for speed, cruising or freestyle. This special design is offering quite some volume just in case you need it, a high nose rocker and a big surface area to make it as easy and comfortable to use as possible. These features in combination significantly increase the light wind performance and handling. Rails are optimized to achieve the best leaning angles and the craziest upwind performance possible. Technically this board is state of the art, coming with a Track Four Way Mount, an air valve to protect the carbon construction when traveling and multiple foot strap options for your personal stance preferences. The Pace SLS is a foil package with which you will turn heads not only on the water but also at the beach!
Reviews
Carbon construction looks amazing and is really light. Like the unpainted areas (logo and black edge) that show the carbon weave. Deck pad comfortable and grippy in bare feet - same as those used on the surfboards so will work well and be durable, Footstrap positions for Y or single front strap and rear strap. I opted for the lightweight foam foiling strap on the front. I found these comfortable in bare feet and they do not take on water. Useful adjustment markings for the foil tracks helping foil placement. I used the board with a Carve 2 850 wings and 90cm mast
I changed from ABS twin tip construction foil boards (North with cork deck, Shinn Sunburner 112 and 128) to this foam core construction. Was surprised how these sit on their sides in the water at rest but found no issue manoeuvring it or getting up on the board. Despite being the smallest board in the range once on the board it feels stable and bouyant, the nose rocker superb in the south coast chop - it is amazing at touch downs - you can feel the double concave cushioning the board, and it seems to keep the board moving if you drop a bit low and catch the top of a wave. The chines on the rails really help when canting the board over going upwind and there is no rail suck if they touch the water. The lightweight means the board feels so responsive to the slightest movement and has less swing on the foil - making it feel planted and locked to the foil. The board left me frothing for my next foil session!
