Duotone Silver Series Mega.Slim - Slim Aluminium Windsurf Boom

The Duotone Silver Mega.Slim gives you the grip comfort and stiffness of a carbon boom at an affordable price. It is the skinniest adult alloy boom in existence.

With a tube diameter of 25.5 mm (140 and 160 lengths) it is just 0.5 mm bigger than even the thinnest carbon booms out there, with the exception of Duotone’s own Platinum booms, and it is also as stiff as most carbon booms. This new stiffness level comes from combining the stiffest 7075 alloy available, bent using Duotone’s partial subsequent heating process, with the unique oval tail section and outside front and tail arch tubes – all without sacrificing durability, which is why the Silver Mega.Slim qualifies for Duotone’s 2 year unconditional warranty. It can’t be compared to any other alloy boom and instead challenges high-end carbon booms, especially when it comes to price.

The 140 and 160 lengths have the new New School 2.0 bend curve, which combines a straight new-school curve (no overstretching of the front hand) with a performance-oriented curve (wider distance between the tubes in the centre so the sail profile is not distorted). The Silver Mega.Slim also features the iFRONT 2.0 (the lightest front end on earth) and the VTS TAIL (visually indicating the correct outhaul tension), and all lengths have an unmatched 60 cm XL extension range covering an even broader range of sail sizes.
