Tech Features

Duotone Pro Pads incl. Wedge: All sizes feature an additional pad wedge between the rear straps, raising the toe area to allow harder pushes and make the board fly. The heat-pressed diamond grooving pattern protects the EVA against abrasion and provides outstanding grip.

Duotone Premium Strap: High-quality closed-cell neoprene for maximum longevity. The black Lycra coating guarantees both comfort and durability. Straps include measurement markings so you can quickly set up and replicate your individual size.

Board-Specific Attachments:

• World Cup boards: Equipped with double-screw plugs for zero twist and the most direct connection.

• Other boards: Equipped with single-screw plugs for faster repositioning of straps and added comfort with a touch of “give.”

FULL CUSTOM CNC Technology (D/LAB):

Identical to the construction of high-end custom boards. Instead of mould shaping, each EPS foam block is CNC-milled for maximum precision and reduced weight.

This “Single Process Technology” means every step is done individually (e.g., vacuum-bagging top and bottom PVC shields separately), resulting in the industry’s best weight-to-strength ratio.

• Variable PVC thickness for stress areas → lighter yet stronger.

• Over 60 parts per D/LAB board (20% more than Premium Sandwich Construction).

• High-end composite materials: high-strength + high-modulus carbon fibres (as used in aircraft, Formula One, and Duotone Platinum SLS masts).

• Innegra fibre → incredible ding resistance, tensile strength like Kevlar but stiffer, best at preventing dents.

• Exclusive S-glass fibre with higher silica → 10–20% stiffer.

• DUOTONE SENTEX® resin with silicon nano-spheres → reduces weight further without sacrificing durability.

• Discipline-specific layups:

   

  • Racing boards (Falcon D/LAB): Maximum stiffness with super high carbon content.

  • Wave boards (Grip D/LAB): More Innegra + S-Glass for flex and strength; unidirectional carbon adds spring-back for acceleration.

Result: D/LAB boards are up to 500g lighter than SLS boards and up to 1kg lighter than other semi-custom boards, rivaling even the lightest custom builds — all while staying durable. LIGHT DONE RIGHT.

Deck Shape: Flatter deck shape for a comfortable stance and maximum control during jibes. Recessed mast track lowers the rig connection, boosting control and aerodynamics by “closing the gap.”

Outline (Range-Specific Aspect Ratio):

• Smaller boards = higher aspect ratio → maximum control and reduced wetted surface for top speed.

• Larger boards = lower aspect ratio → maximum acceleration at lower speeds.

Rail Shape: Ergonomic rails for maximum grip in jibes and 100% power transfer. Harder rails underfoot allow maximum drive onto the fin for lift and speed.

Rocker Line: Developed over decades for top speeds in all conditions with maximum control.

Bottom Shape:

• Flying V-Shape: Increased V in front of mast track and tail makes the board ride high and loose, improves control, and allows varied jibing radii.

• 2 Step Cut-Outs: Reduce wetted surface, allow a wider tail, and (combined with further outboard rear strap positions) let the rider load more power for speed and control.
