Duotone 2027 Twintips, Bars & the All-New NTT 360 Binding

Big drop day. Everything that isn't a kite lands today — twintips, bars, bindings, the kite surfboards and the Soar foil board. Two genuinely new products in here, and one board that's had a proper shape change rather than a graphic update.

Start with the board, because it's the one worth going out of your way for.

Select SLS — a completely new outline

This is the twintip news for 2027. The Select SLS is wider, and that does three things: it plane earlier, the low end improves noticeably, and the bigger planing surface makes landings softer and the ride more stable in variable conditions.

Normally added width costs you upwind performance, which is the trade nobody wants. Duotone have got round it with angled rails that keep the edge grip up — so upwind actually improves slightly rather than going backwards. Four sizes: 135/40, 138/41, 141/42 and 144/43. Also available as Select Concept Blue.

NTT 360 — dial your straps, one-handed, on the water

A completely new binding, and the interesting part is the Dual Tune Closure System: two precision dials that adjust the front and rear straps independently, one-handed, without getting off the board. Tighten for a Big Air send, slacken off for a cruise home. The strap is injection-moulded Cloud Strap with a 360° fit and a sneaker-like feel, it's about 20% lighter than the previous NTT, it comes in four sizes, and it fits most twintips on the market — not just Duotone's. It arrives pre-assembled, which anyone who has built a set of bindings on a shingle beach will appreciate.

Big Air Handle, bars and the rest

The Big Air Handle is Duotone's first Big Air-specific board handle. Ergonomic grip for mid-air grabs and board-offs, an integrated WOO compartment with an external control lever so you can stop gluing pads to your deck, and universal mounting from 170 to 200mm that fits all Duotone twintips and most other brands. Plug-and-play with standard M6 screws.

On bars, the Click Bar drops the front line stopper ball and now ships with the Low V-Distributor in the box to fit if you need it, in a new colourway. The Trust Bar S/M/L gets the DPL24 depower line in black plus additional frontline pigtails for finer trim.

Elsewhere: the Jaime SLS and TS Big Air SLS both get extra reinforcement to improve pop and cut reverse flex, the TS Park is longer with the fins moved closer to the edge to stop slip-outs on flat-water pop, and the Soleil SLS and Shred carry over. On the surfboard side the Whip gets thinner rails for more grip in critical sections, the Blur gets a new lean rocker line, and the Soar SLS kitefoil board gets shape optimisation around the foil track mount for more consistent mast adjustment.
