I honestly can’t remember the last time I had this much fun on the water. I was riding the 2026 Duotone Evo D/LAB 10m in incredibly marginal wind, and it kept line tension like I was fully powered. The secret? Aluula material in the leading edge – now pumped to 10 PSI – which means it’s not only lighter but also stiffer, with a smaller leading edge diameter. That translates to faster flying, more direct feel, and better handling in those borderline conditions. Even when the breeze dropped off, I still felt connected and in control – no flutter, no lag, just smooth power delivery.
The board? I was on the Duotone Volt D/LAB 2025, a small-wave machine that’s so responsive, it makes you feel like a better rider. The new D/LAB construction is insanely light and snappy, thanks to Duotone’s high-end manufacturing at their new factory. And the memory foam shock absorber (yes, the same stuff used in Nike shoes) completely smooths out the chop, making it a joy to ride even when conditions aren’t perfect. I was throwing down bottom turns and smacking lips like a frustrated surfer – just pure, exhilarating fun.
Of course, I had the Duotone Click Bar 2025 in hand. The redesigned internal pulley system makes bar rotation buttery smooth, and paired with the Evo D/LAB, the setup just felt dialled.
