Duotone Silver Series - 7075 Aluminium Windsurf Boom

The Duotone Silver Series windsurf boom is made from 7075 high-tech aluminium in high-quality bonded technology. This material, used predominantly in cycling, gives the tubes significantly more stiffness.

A round tube in the front area (holding forces act obliquely downwards, so it is stiffer here) is combined with the oval tail section (the sail pull is horizontal, so the oval tube is stiffer here). This makes the entire Silver boom around 30% stiffer and, together with the hardened front tube, results in enormous stiffness and durability – so much so that Duotone offers a two-year unlimited warranty on all Silver models, even on bending.

The 140 and 160 lengths consist of three segments and have a one-piece aluminium tail end in addition to the iFRONT 2.0 front end. Together with the RDM tubes at 28 mm, this creates the ideal combination of stiffness and comfort, and the bend curve applies an even pull on the mast hand and back hand. The 180 length has a performance bend curve designed specifically for freeride sails and a 30 mm tube diameter for maximum stiffness.

The high-density protection grip on the outside effectively prevents damage when rigging up. The entire Silver line is equipped with the VTS TAIL fitting, which in combination with Duotone sails gives a clear visual indication of the perfect outhaul tension, and all Silver booms feature an unmatched 60 cm XL extension range covering an even broader range of sail sizes.
