What's new in Duotone apparel for 2027
Explore outerwear expands — the FW27 Explore line adds a Unisex Windbreaker Jacket Explore 2027, Unisex Shorts Explore 2027 and Unisex Pants Explore 2027 alongside the existing 2.5L and 2L jackets.
5k/5k windbreaker fabric — the new Windbreaker Jacket uses a lightweight 5k/5k fabric for wind resistance and water repellency, with a PFC-free C0 DWR finish.
Recycled polyester fleece — the new Fleece DT Explore unisex 2027 and Unisex Fleece Sweater Originals 2027 are both 100% recycled polyester.
Organic cotton through the Explore basics — the Unisex Pants Explore and Unisex Shorts Explore are 100% organic cotton ripstop; the Sweater DT Explore pairs an organic cotton face with a recycled polyester back.
Two new beanies — the Duotone Beanie 2027 in a garment-dye finish and the Duotone Beanie Seaman 2027 in a garment-wash finish, both 100% acrylic.
Duotone specify the following materials for the 2027 apparel line: 100% organic cotton in the Explore pants, shorts and ripstop pieces; 100% recycled polyester in the Explore and Originals fleeces; an organic cotton and recycled polyester blend in the Sweater DT Explore; 100% polyamide with a PFC-free C0 DWR finish in the Windbreaker Jacket; and 100% acrylic in both beanies. Which Explore layer should you buy?
Start with what the weather actually does to you. The Windbreaker Jacket Explore is the packable shell for light wind and passing rain — it goes in a kitbag and lives there. The Jacket Explore 2,5L steps up to a proper waterproof for sustained rain on the beach. The Coat Explore 2L is the long, warm option for standing around in winter. For insulation rather than weatherproofing, the Jacket Insulated Explore and Vest Insulated Explore layer under a shell, while the Fleece DT Explore half-zip is the mid-layer you'll wear most. If you only buy one thing, most riders get the most use out of the fleece.
