Featuring a detachable cable, it's now easier than ever to switch between cable lengths. The v2 Motor Plug enables a quick and simple connection between your Foil Drive unit and your v2 Motors, providing the ultimate flexibility.
What's New on the Foil Drive v2 Motor?
The Foil Drive v2 motor comes with a redesigned stator, puck, and offers added versatility with customisable motor cable lengths. It utilizes the same rotor, propellers and hub that came with your Gen2 unit, allowing seamless integration with existing hardware. It is compatible with the universal motor pod and adaptor.
The v2 Motor expands the usage of your Foil Drive. Each Foil Drive kit now includes a 20cm motor cable, the most popular length, straight from factory. This provides a cost-effective and convenient way to adjust your cable as you explore different disciplines or riding styles.
This feature makes it seamless to "grow" with your Foil Drive as you progress through the learning curve and learn how you to like to ride.
Motor Cable Lengths
You asked for it - we delivered! Those who want the motor mounted even higher than 15cm now have the option of the 12cm motor cable.
The v2 motor comes in six lengths:
-12cm (4.7 inches) (new!)
-15cm (6 inches)
-20cm (23.5 inches)
-25cm (10 inches)
-60cm (23.5 inches)
-70cm (27.5 inches)

Important: When detaching the cable from the motor, it is necessary to pull the cable out straight. Do not grab the cable by the end and bend it during detachment, as this will damage the puck.
v2 Motor Puck
The Foil Drive v2
Motor Puck has been designed for optimal use with the motor and cables. When installing the puck, first plug the cable into the motor, then place the puck over the cable, aligning the cut-out slot with the motor cable.
Note: This puck is only compatible with Gen2 systems. The provided hardware (4x M4 16mm bolts) are longer than the bolts (M3 x 12mm) used for the v1 Puck.
O-Ring and Dielectric Grease
The v2 Motor also includes an O-Ring on the removable cable connection. 
To ensure your cable is watertight, it is imperative to use only Foil Drive dielectric grease, every time you enter the ocean. Before attaching the cable to the stator, lightly apply Foil Drive dielectric grease to the plug on the stator side, and avoid over-application.
