The Vision Spark is a proper first bodyboard — light enough for kids to carry up the beach, tough enough to survive a week of it. A polypropylene core with a crescent tail gives it enough hold on the wave face to actually go somewhere, rather than just sliding straight down.
The slick HDPE base keeps it fast across flat sections, and the raised deck contours give you something to grip when the wave stands up. It comes with a leash so nothing gets lost in the shorebreak.
Two sizes. The 37 inch suits younger riders up to around 45kg; the 40 inch suits teenagers and smaller adults up to around 60kg. If you are between the two, size up — a bigger board floats better and catches more waves, which is what matters when you are learning.
