That standard is hard to hold when the team is stretched. Summer is relentless on this coast, and we'd rather add someone now than let the service slip. So we're hiring.
We'd rather bring someone in early than let the standard drop. Good advice is the whole point of a local shop.
The role: Shop Assistant
Small team, varied days. No two look the same, but you'd be:
- Advising and selling to customers, in store and online
- Taking deliveries and helping keep stock straight
- Answering enquiries by phone and email
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy and looking like somewhere people want to spend time
If you know your way around a kite, a wing, a board or a sail — and you'd rather be talking gear with someone than reading about it — this is your kind of job.
Who we're after

| Water time | Active user, genuinely into it. First-hand knowledge is the job |

| Hours | Part-time and flexible — could be 2 days one week, 3 or 4 the next, depending on how busy we are. If it works well for both of us there's room for that to grow |
| Pay | Based on experience and availability — we'll talk it through properly once we've met |
You will spend the windiest day of the year indoors, surrounded by kit you want, explaining wetsuit sizing to someone who is definitely going to buy it in the wrong size anyway. Upside: staff discount, gear chat all day, and colleagues who always know exactly where it's working.
